Wild and exciting hockey action continues
weekly in the Great North Midget League (GNML). Here's a look
at all three local entries in the GNML.
Sudbury Nickel Capitals
Record and standing: 9-4, second place.
Previous game: 10-5 win over Kirkland Lake on
Oct. 15.
Next two games: Saturday, Oct. 22, against
the Cobras in Valley East at the Raymond Plourde Arena. Game
time is 8:20 pm. Sunday, Oct. 23, against the North Bay
Trappers at Countryside Arena. Game time is 2:50 pm.
Top three scorers: Vern Cooper and Joey
Derochie both have 14 goals and 26 points in 13 games, which
also leads the GNML. Kyle Tarini has 10 goals and 18 points in
12 games.
Rayside Balfour
Sabrecats
Record and standing: 6-3, fourth place.
Previous game: 3-1 win over New Liskeard on
Oct. 9.

is 8:20 pm. Saturday, Oct. 22 against the Majors in Timmins.
