The first annual Pond Hockey on the Rock Festival, held over the weekend on Ramsey Lake, was a huge success, according to the festival organizers.
With 72 teams participating from peewee to masters age groups,
and recreational men's, women's and corporate
divisions, the tournament was filled to capacity. Games were
played throughout the weekend on eight rinks built around the
Ramsey Lake skating path.
Skills events were set up around the event, including a slapshot competition.
