Hockey
The Sudbury Junior Wolves host the Blind River Beavers tonight
at the McClelland Arena. Game time is 7:30 pm. Sudbury is in
second place in the NOJHL standings with a record of 7-1-6-2.
Blind River is fourth, sporting a 5-2-5-1 record.
Harness racing
10 races highlight the draw at Sudbury Downs tonight. Post time
at Sudbury Downs is 7:15 pm. To drivers such as Gerry Belanger,
Paul MacLean, David Dowling and Richard Turcotte will be
looking to earn some big purse money.
Wrestling
The Sudbury Wrestling Tournament, hosted by the Rayside
Wrestling Club and the Sudbury Golden Eagles Wrestling Club,
takes place on Nov. 10 at Macdonald Cartier high school.
Divisions available include bantam, cadet and juvenile/junior.
Cost is $15.
Events
Sudbury SportLink hosts Guts and Glory II on Nov. 16 at the
Holiday Inn. Local guest speakers include swimmer Buddy Green,
wrestler Sheldon Burton and boxer Amber Konikow. Alex Baumann
