The 35th annual Sudbury Masters Ramsey Tour 5km/Half-Marathon will be held this Sunday (Sept. 11) at 10 a.m. at the Laurentian University Track.

Over the years, the race has generated upwards of $150,000 that has been used to establish permanent bursaries at both Laurentian University and Cambrian College and provide annual scholarships for local runners. Funds have also been contributed to the new Laurentian Community Track, purchased a treadmill for the new gym at Laurentian, and helped resurface the running trails at Laurentian.

The race is also a certified OUA course and is an opportunity to compete against the Laurentian Women's cross-country running team and squads from Nipissing University and Cambrian College.

The race fees are $30 for the 5 km, $35 for the half marathon, and $10 for children 13 years or younger. The fee includes T-shirts for the first 200 entrants, lunch and prizes.

To register online, visit the Sudbury Rocks website at www.sudburyrocks.ca. For race information or to volunteer, contact Jesse Winters at 705-688-7738.
