After losing two games to start the season, the Sudbury Wolves received some good news Tuesday: Nick Foligno is coming back to join his junior club.
Foligno, who was selected 28th overall in the 2006 NHL entry draft, was returned by the Ottawa Senators after his first NHL training camp. The young winger played three exhibition games with the Senators, registering just one assist. He was a minus two and spent two minutes in the penalty box.
In a poll on the Ottawa Senators' website asking fans
which prospect they're most excited about, Foligno came in
second with 2,024 votes (37.5 percent).
Wolves head coach and GM Mike Foligno said he expects Foligno
in Sudbury Tuesday night and that he would be in the line-up
Friday (Sept. 29) when the Toronto St. Michael's Majors
invade the Sudbury Community Arena.
Prior to the game, the Wolves will honour Ron Duguay, raising his No. 10 jersey to the rafters. Game time is 7:30 pm.
