Sudbury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team to showcase skills

Sudbury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will be taking its competition team to the Toronto Jiu-Jitsu Classic tournament, happening at Ryerson University on Aug. 9. This is the first Ontario tournament the team has participated in.

Sudbury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will be taking its competition team to the Toronto Jiu-Jitsu Classic tournament, happening at Ryerson University on Aug. 9. This is the first Ontario tournament the team has participated in.


The Toronto Jiu-Jitsu Classic will showcase the sport of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, by being aired on The Fight Network, as well as covered by Gracie Magazine, a news leader in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.


According to a press release, this competition readies competitors for the highest level of international competition by adhering to international rules, regulations, and standards.


“It gives Sudbury Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu students a chance to display the skills they have been training here in Sudbury at a national level,” the release stated.
