Five members of the Sudbury Sprinters Speed Skating Club participated in Ontario Cup #3 over the past weekend in Kitchener, Waterloo.

Alexie Therrien captured gold for the second cup in a row in the peewee girls division. Kealyn Pitre finished fifth in the midget girls.

Finishing seventh were Kelsey Pitre and Alyssa Hreljac in juvenile girls and bantam girls divisions, respectively. Rounding out the competitions results Keegan Pitre finished eleventh in the juvenile boys division.

The sprinters set many personal bests throughout another successful weekend at the third cup of the season, which was attended by 191 of the provinces fastest short track speed skaters aged six to 18.

Upcoming competitions include trips to Brampton for Ontario Cup #4 and the provincial championships, to be held in March in Waterloo.
