Greater Sudbury Northern Life 
Kaelyn Pitre represented Ontario in Madison, Wisconsin over the weekend, participating in the 2009 North American Short Track Speed Skating Championships. Participants included the top skaters in North America ages 10 and up.
Pitre, 11, was attending her first international event. She competed at a very high level, achieving personal bests in almost all her races.
She finished sixth in the 666m distance while finishing seventh in her other distances of 333m, 500m and 777m.
The next competition for the Sudbury Speed Skating Club is Ontario Cup #2 Dec.r 13-14 in Belleville, Ontario.
