Five members of the Sudbury Sprinters Speed Skating Club participated in Ontario Cup #4 over the past weekend in Gloucester.

Alexie Therrien captured a bronze medal in the Peewee Girls division. A collision in an early heat took her out of gold medal contention. Kelsey Pitre finished fourth in the Juvenile Girls.

Alyssa Hreljac finished eleventh in Bantam Girls.

Keegan Pitre was third in Juvenile Boys prior to suffering an injury, and was unable to continue the competition. Kaelyn Pitre, fourth ranked Midget girl in the province, was forced to withdraw from the competition due to illness.

The Sprinters set many personal bests throughout the weekend at the fourth and last cup of the season, which was attended by 194 of the province's fastest short track speed skaters aged six-18.

These skaters will be competing in Kitchener-Waterloo in March at the Provincial Championships.
