Sudbury's Trillium Muir is the fastest woman in the world on a motorcycle.
Muir set a new record of 218 miles-per-hour on a one-mile track in North Carolina last weekend.
The old record was 209 miles-per-hour, set by Susan Robertson.
Muir accomplished the feat while riding a 500-horsepower Suzuki motorcycle, which weighed 220-kilograms.
Muir is a Correctional Services worker in Sudbury.
Muir has been building up to the moment as last fall she produced a speed of 206.3 miles-per-hour during her second ever try at record setting.
