Track North's Kaitlyn Tallman (Mindemoya), a junior at Villanova University, placed sixth in the 3000 metre race at this weekend's Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
Tallman's time was 9:39.88, six seconds off the winning time of 9:33.18, set by Danielle Tauro of the University of Michigan.
Beginning with a pedestrian pace over the first six laps, Tallman kicked with 600 metres to go to move from tenth position into sixth place.
