This summer le Carrefour francophone de Sudbury is offering the first and only cycling camp for teens in the region.
This summer from Aug. 20 to 25, le Carrefour francophone is
offering teens from 14 to 18 years old an invitation to cycle
touring with the program Acrovélo: three days of training and
workshops (bicycle maintenance, cycling safety, trip planning)
followed by a three-day trip. The program is offered in French
and French-immersion students.
Cycle touring is travelling by bicycle through unknown lands
carrying all you need on your own two wheels: breakfast,
sleeping bag, spare tire, tools, swimsuit, and raincoat. It's a
hobby and lifestyle that is gaining more and more popularity
throughout the country for its simplicity and
environmentally-friendliness. It's the most pleasant, cheapest,
and most hands-on way to discover an area.
