Fans have two chances to see the Sudbury Wolves in action this week.
Tonight, the Pack welcomes the Soo Greyhounds to the Den for a 7:05 p.m. tilt. Then on Friday, the Niagara IceDogs pay a visit to Sudbury, also for a 7:05 p.m. game.
“Last week’s games saw both over age players Landon McCallum (1G-3A) and Zacharie Giroux (0G-4A) recorded four points each in Sunday’s contest, while Alex Pharand notched three points, including two goals against the Steelheads. Other notable players include captain David Goyette, who had a combined four points in three games with four assists.”
Tonight’s game also celebrates National Women and Girls in Sports Day.
“The Wolves welcome local talents Tracy Fleury, professional curler, Carley Olivier, professional woman’s hockey player, and rising star Eisley Bouchard of the Sudbury District Girls Hockey Association,” the team said. “These local stars will join the Wolves for a special ceremonial puck drop before the game. Tracy and Carley will also be available to meet fans during the second intermission at the top of section two.”
Fleury is a professional curler currently and part of Team Homan, the top-ranked women’s curling team in Canada and the second top ranked team in the world. Carley Olivier is currently in her first season as a professional player with New York in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL).
Tickets are on-sale now for both games at GreaterSudbury.ca/tickets and at the Sudbury Arena box office.
After Friday’s game, the Wolves travel to Mississauga to take on the Steelheads on Feb. 11 at 2 p.m.
