The Laurentian Voyageurs soccer team will travel to Toronto this weekend to face a pair of strong division opponents.

On Saturday the Voyageurs will take on the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at 1 p.m. On Sunday they will face the Ryerson Rams starting at 11 a.m. at Lamport Stadium.

The Voyageurs' first road trip of the regular season will be a tough test as they take on two of the tougher teams in the OUA. Both the Varsity Blues and the Rams play a finesse style game which on their home fields can be a big advantage.

The Voyageurs had a record of 0-1-1 versus the Varsity Blues last season. They played to a 1-1 draw in Toronto early in the season, while dropping a 1-0 decision in Sudbury in October.

Ryerson and the Laurentian men split their two games a year ago each winning 1-0 on the other's pitch.

"We are looking to build upon our season opening victory and continue with getting positive results. But for us to achieve this we have to play like we did in the second half against Nipissing. It will be a good measuring stick to see where we stand with the top teams in the OUA," said Voyageurs head coarch Carlo Castrechino, in a release.

Game times for this weekend are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
