Walden Mountain Bike Club to host Sudbury Fitness Challenge

Members of the Walden Mountain Bike Club Wolfpack Racing group competed at the Plastiglas Ontario Cup Cross-Country Mountain Bike Series held in Gravenhurst recently. Peter Beisel placed 14th in the junior expert men category.

Members of the Walden Mountain Bike Club Wolfpack Racing group competed at the Plastiglas Ontario Cup Cross-Country Mountain Bike Series held in Gravenhurst recently.

Peter Beisel placed 14th in the junior expert men category. Marc Larochelle took 23rd in the senior sport (19-29 men) category and Rob St. Marseille took 18th in the master sport (40-44 men) category. Sudbury resident Kristin Zazelenchuk also competed in the race, in the senior sport (19-29 women) category, earning a third place finish.

Beniot Coucette competed in the Lost in the Rocks and Trees enduro race held in Mattawa, and took a third place finish.

The Walden Mountain Bike Club will host this year's Sudbury Fitness Challenge Mountain Bike Tour event. The races will be held at the Naughton Ski Trails on Aug. 9, with distances and categories for everyone.
