The Sudbury Wolves showed that there is no place like home as they won their sixth home game in a row on Tuesday night, downing the visiting Kingston Frontenacs by a score of 7-4.

The Wolves got on the board early with an even strength goal by Patrick Lusnak, with assists from Eric O'Dell and Daniel Maggio. The Frontenacs would tie the game before the end of the period with a goal by Matthew Kang.

The second period saw special teams take over for the Wolves and Frontenacs as all the goals came during penalties. The Wolves would strike first with a shorthanded goal by Lusnak for his second goal of the night, and was assisted by Brandon Greenside and Maggio.

The Wolves would then add power plays goals by Jared Staal(assisted by O'Dell and Greenside) and Marcus Foligno (assisted by Matt Dias and John McFarland). The Frontenacs would score their own power play goal by Corbin Crawford.

While the Wolves enjoy playing in the Minto Street barn, the Sudbury Arena maintenance staff might like to see the Wolves hit the road, as the teams waited for another 40 minute delay as crews repaired a large scratch in the ice caused on the final lap of the zamboni scrape.

The last delay was caused of course by the shattered glass after Jared Staal's goal celebration on the weekend.

The game would resume and the Fronts cut the Wolves lead to 4 to 3 with another goal by Matthew Kang. The Wolves would respond, however, with goals by Gerome Giudice (assisted by Kyle Tarini and John Kurtz), Staal, his second of the night and a power play marker (assisted by Peter Hermenegildo and O'Dell), and Maggio, another power play marker (assisted by Greenside and Giudice).

The Frontenacs would add another goal Corbin Crawford, but that is as close as they would get as the Wolves won 7-4.

Sudbury Wolves goaltender Andrew Loverock played a strong game with 26 saves for the win, while Kingston Frontenacs netminder Maverick Parks had 26 saves in a loss.

The Sudbury Wolves continue their homestand with a meeting against their Central Division rivals Brampton Battalion on Nov. 8 at the Sudbury Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
