Fresh off his first-ever NHL experience, Wolves winger Nick Foligno is back with his junior club and is apparently ready to become an offensive force in the Ontario Hockey League.

In three weekend games, Foligno scored four goals and had three assists, including a hat-trick Saturday, helping the Wolves win two games, 6-0 versus the Toronto St. Michael's Majors Sept. 29 and 5-3 over the Belleville Bulls Sept. 30. The Majors exacted revenge for the Friday-night shut-out by beating the Wolves 5-4 Oct. 1 and spoiling captain Marc Staal's return to the line-up.

For the second straight year, Staal was returned to the Wolves after being cut by the New York Rangers. Staal registered one assist in three pre-season games with New York.

Kevin Beech was in net for the Wolves in all three games. Sudbury's record early in the regular season stands at 2-3.

Both Foligno and Staal will have to play at the top of their games as the Wolves' next four contests are on the road, starting with the London Knights Oct. 6. The Wolves next game on home ice comes Oct. 13 when they renew their rivalry with the Barrie Colts.
