The Sudbury Wolves suffered their second back-to-back defeat at the Sudbury Arena Saturday night, in what would be the Owen Sound Attack's second victory over the Pack this season.

The team played a clean game and took several strong shots, but in the end, Owen Sound's firepower proved too much.

Owen Sound left the ice with a 4-0 shutout to boost their league standing.

Attack's Nick Chenard, Kaleb Pearson and Brady Lyle claimed first, second and third star of the match respectively.

Pearson opened up the game for Owen Sound with his ninth goal of the season around five minutes into play, with assistance by Joshua Samanski and Adam McMaster. Rookie Kaleb Lawrence scored his first of the season a little more than 10 minutes later, with help from Carter Robinson and Daylon Groulx, closing out the period.

Owen Sound moved into the second period up two, after outshooting their hosts 12-3 in the first 20 minutes.

Attack's McMaster continued to build this lead once back on the ice, delivering his 10th goal of the season at 10:52 with help from Stepan Machacek and Lyle. Pearson delivered one final goal for the team a little less than three minutes later, with assistance from Griffin Wilson.

Sudbury faced a deficit of four heading into the final frame, despite outshooting Owen Sound 11-10 in the period.

The two teams went shot-for-shot for the remaining 20 minutes to no avail, but the Wolves couldn't find the back of the net and fell 4-0.

The Attack outshot Sudbury 7-6 in the final frame and 29-20 in the game overall.

The Sudbury Wolves remain first in the central division, second in the eastern conference and fourth overall, with 18 wins and 14 losses.

Owen Sound, on the other hand, are fourth in the midwest division, seventh in the western conference and 11th in the league overall, with 14 wins and 12 losses.

The Pack returns to the Sudbury Arena on Dec. 20 to host the London Knights for the first of two pairings this season.
