It was a weekend the Sudbury Wolves desperately needed.

Sudbury won two games, beating Barrie and Windsor, to snap an
ugly five-game losing streak.
On Friday, the Wolves squared off with their bitter Central
Division rivals, the Barrie Colts.
The Wolves skated with purpose and energy and clawed their way
to a 3-0 win.
Goalie Sebastian Dahm was stellar, and arguably played his best
game since being acquired at the trade deadline, making 33
saves.
It was his first shut out of the season.
Justin Donati, with the game winner, Nick Foligno and J.K. Gill
all scored for Sudbury.
Local boy Cory McGillis, who plays for Barrie, was kicked out
of the game just 5:27 into the first period for a major
elbowing penalty against Foligno. McGillis was playing just his
second shift of the game.
On Sunday afternoon, the Wolves hosted the Windsor Spitfires
and shot them down out of the sky by winning 5-3.
Sudbury built up a 3-0 lead in the first period and never
looked back.
Donati and Akim Aliu lead the way with two goals each. Jared
Staal scored the other tally for Sudbury.
Dahm made 14 saves to improve his record with Sudbury to
3-4-0-1.
Keaton Turkiewicz, Ryan Baldwin and Mark Cundari replied for
Windsor.
With the two weekend wins, Sudbury has kept pace in the Eastern
Conference standings.
They now own a record of 23-22-2-5, good for 53 points and
fifth place in standings.
The Wolves next game is a rematch against the Colts Thursday in
Barrie.
On Friday, the Wolves host Plymouth at 7:30 pm. On Saturday night, the club celebrates with CVRD Inco as they put on Sudbury Saturday Night. The Wolves play Mississauga at 7 pm.
