With the Christmas break behind them, the
Sudbury Wolves will suit up for their first game in 10 days
tonight, as they welcome the Soo Greyhounds to the Sudbury
Arena.
The Wolves enter play with a 17-14-1-1
record, and are hoping to improve their overall record for the
month of December. Sudbury is currently 3-5 in December, and
has lost five of their last six contests.
The Greyhounds haven't fared much better
this month, with four wins in nine games. They enter play with
a 12-21-2-0 record, and have won three of their last four
contests.
Tonight's game will stand as a battle
between two of the league's more offensively challenged
teams, as Sudbury forward Nick Foligno is the only player on
either squad to rank in the top 40 point producers in the
OHL.
Sudbury forward Benoit Pouliot and defenceman
Marc Staal will be out of the lineup tonight, as they are
currently in Vancouver playing for Team Canada at the World
Junior Hockey Championships.
Tonight's contest also marks the third
tilt between these two foes. Sudbury won both decisions so far,
5-4 and 2-1.
