It was a weekend to forget for the Sudbury Wolves as they were pounded at home by Saginaw and London.

On Friday, the Wolves built up a 3-1 lead by the midway point of the second period, but dropped the ball allowing Saginaw to score five straight goals in the second and third periods. Sudbury scored a couple of late tallies, but it wasn't enough as the Spirit went on to win 6-5.

Nick Foligno, Justin Donati, Gerome Giudice, Devin DiDiomete and Kevin Baker scored for the Wolves.

Goalie Sebastain Dahm made 35 saves in the loss.

On Sunday afternoon, the Wolves took it hard on the chin, as the Knights creamed them 10-5.

The game was over before it started as London stormed out and scored three quick power play goals in the first six minutes and 48 seconds of the game. London built up a 8-2 lead after two periods and eventually cruised to a 10-5 victory.

The Knights were paced by super rookies, Patrick Kane and Sam Gagner, who both scored once and added four assists each.

Matt Dias led the way for the Wolves with two goals. Adam McQuaid, Patrik Lusnak and Donati had the other markers.

Goalie Dahm was pulled after allowing three goals in the first period for 16-year-old rookie Alain Valiquette.

The raw rookie wasn't ready for the London offence and allowed four goals on 11 shots before he was yanked as well for Dahm to go back in.

The losses were costly as Sudbury dropped a place in the Eastern Conference standings to fifth. The Wolves have a record of 21-19-2-5, good for third place in the Central Division.

They're 3-4-0-3 in their last 10 games.

Sudbury will look to get back in the win column this Friday when they host Belleville. Game time is 7:30 pm.
