The Sudbury Wolves suffered their second
consecutive loss last night, falling 3-2 to the Sault Ste.
Marie Greyhounds.
Wednesday's loss was the final game on a
three game road trip for the Wolves, who picked up just two
points during that time. The Wolves drop to 19-16-1-2 on the
season but are still sitting in third place in the Central
Division.
The Wolves scored first against the
Greyhounds when newly acquired forward Ryan Donally fired home
his second goal of the season, assisted by Tomas Sample.
The good times then came to an end for the
Wolves, as they surrendered three unanswered goals including
one on the powerplay. Devon DiDiomete answered back for Sudbury
with a powerplay goal in the third period, assisted by Jonathan
D'Aversa and Kevin Baker, but still fell short of the
win.
Wolves goaltender Kevin Beech made 35 saves
on the night while Sault goalie Kyle Gajewski turned away 19
shots for the win.
Despite the loss the Wolves penalty killing
units continued their strong play, limiting the Greyhounds'
to just one goal on eight chances with the man advantage.
