The Sudbury Wolves went one for one this past weekend, destroying Barrie 6-1 on Friday night and losing 3-2 to Owen Sound on Saturday.

Wolves' goalie Kevin Beech went 1-1 on the weekend, allowing only four goals on 58 shots.
On Friday night, at the Sudbury Arena, the Wolves enjoyed a five-goal outburst in the first period and coasted to a 6-1 victory.

Kevin Baker scored twice and added an assist to lead the Wolves.

Goalie Kevin Beech was solid, making 29 saves for his 24th win of the season.

Sudbury ripped five goals in the first 11:55 of the first period to put the Colts on their heels.

Akim Aliu, Ryan Hastings and Anton Hedman also scored during the first frame romp.

Ben Pouliot scored the final goal for Sudbury.

Ryan Hamilton replied for the Colts.

It was the fifth straight win for the Wolves.

The winning streak stopped Saturday, as Sudbury was dispatched 3-2 by the Attack in Owen Sound.

Baker and Marc Staal scored for Sudbury. Beech made 29 saves.

Jeff Kyrzakos, Marcus Carroll and Marek Bartanus scored for Owen Sound.

Sudbury plays Toronto this Friday at the Sudbury Arena. Game time is 7:30 pm.

Pouliot, Staal and Jonathan D'Aversa will play in the 2006 OHL Bell All-Star Classic, which airs Wednesday on Rogers Sportsnet, channel 34. The action starts at 7 pm.
