The Sudbury Wolves announce that they have acquired the rights to forward Lucas Signoretti from the Erie Otters in exchange for a conditional 15th round pick in 2026.

The Sudbury Wolves have a new forward, snagging Lucas Signoretti from the Erie Otters in exchange for a conditional 15th round pick in 2026.

“Lucas has been outstanding for Espanola and leads the NOJHL in scoring,” Sudbury Wolves VP & General Manager Rob Papineau said in a media release. “He is a player that we have not been able to affiliate while playing for our affiliate team, as Erie had owned his OHL playing rights. He was a 2nd round pick to the OHL while playing on the same u16 team as Evan Konyen.

“We are very excited to be able to have access to Lucas now as he deserves the opportunity to play games in the OHL. We also would like to thank Jason Rapcewicz and the Espanola Paper Kings who have been extremely supportive as an affiliate team in supporting and cooperating with us in developing players in the NOJHL for the OHL.”

Signoretti is from Kinburn and was drafted by the Erie Otters 40th overall in the 2020 OHL priority selection.

During his OHL draft year, he registered 35 points through 24 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 15s going on to collect eight points during his rookie season with the Erie Otters.

Currently playing with the Espanola Paper Kings Lucas was awarded the NOJHL trophy for the Best Overall Team Player following his 2022-23 campaign where he finished the regular season with 39 goals and 40 assists for a total of 79 points.

Most recently, he averaged 2.24 points per game this season with the Paper Kings, notching 65 points in 29 games consisting of 27 goals and 38 assists.
