"I think that in the end we're going to end up being the team that we want to be," Foligno said.

"We're going to be a team that comes to battle each and every night and tonight, they know in that room that they didn't come out with that passion, that fire."

The head coach said that to beat a team like Mississauga, they needed to come out with more passion and more drive than they showed tonight.

"We have it in that room. We have a good group of guys in that room. We're going to be a better team each and every day and we're going to really strive to put this game behind us and to show everybody that we're going places."

The Sudbury Wolves faced off against the first place Windsor Spitfires Sunday afternoon, and despite a strong effort from the Wolves, they were defeated 3-2 by the Spitfires.

The Spitfires took a 1-0 lead after the first period and added another marker to their lead in the second. The Wolves managed to get on the board with a goal by Jared Staal before the end of the period with assists by Eric O'Dell and John McFarland.

The Spitfires saw the back of the net again in the third, followed by a goal from McFarland, ending the period with a 3-2 victory for Windsor. Wolves netminder Andrew Loverock and McFarland were awarded second and third stars of the night.

The Wolves will travel to Barrie Thursday evening to take on the Colts before returning to home ice Friday, Jan. 16 when they face off against the Brampton Battalion.
