THUNDER BAY - Thunder Bay Police have secured a scene in a wooded area behind the Lakehead University Fieldhouse after a body was discovered.
Several Thunder Bay Police Service members are on the scene, including a forensics unit. Emergency services were called to the area on Tuesday afternoon just before 4 p.m.
A body was discovered by a passerby walking along the pathway, police said in a news release, confirming the investigation into the sudden death.
The area is along a path behind the back parking lot at the Fieldhouse. Police have not provided any additional details at this time.
