I think a cemetery is a very appropriate place for this memorial. It is a place that allows people time for quiet reflection and remembrance. Making it a tourist attraction on a major road or a park belittles the reason for its existence.

We are a group of Steelworkers from northeastern Ontario; some of who are survivors of violence. We have been following the controversy regarding the location of the Women's Monument.

This letter is in reference to the April 25 cover story regarding Angela Roy. It was reported that Angela was unable to tolerate four of the six drugs she was expected to take.

Last fall after another science class out at the pond on the outskirts of Falconbridge, my daughters, then 8 and 10, decided something had to be done about the garbage along the highway and Edison Road.

I went to the circus for the first time when I was 21. I left feeling disappointed and unsettled. Upon investigation I discovered what is done to the animals to train them to do "tricks" for our mere entertainment.
