St. Gabriel Villa resident Ray Marcotte's wish came true thanks to the generosity of the Bélanger Ford car dealership.

Marcotte wanted to go for a car ride — with the windows rolled down and listening to tunes — to get ice cream.

Not only were the windows rolled down, the roof was rolled back as well for Ray’s ride in a 2016 Ford Convertible Mustang, courtesy of Josée Belanger-Leroux from Bélanger Ford.

As a young man who grew up blind, Marcotte would often go out for ice cream with his family. Marcotte fondly remembers the wind blowing against his face during the ride, listening to his favorite country music.

Joining Marcotte on his special day was his brother-in-law, his primary caregiver Nicole Young, as well as Ray Ingriselli, site administrator of St. Gabriel Villa. The group went for a ride to Lively, then back to the Chelmsford Dairy Queen, where the staff assisted to make Marcotte's special treat.

The residents and staff of St. Gabriel Villa also gathered to send Marcotte off on his day of fun.
