Clement turns 95 April 22. A celebration with family and friends is scheduled for April 18 at Lasalle Residence.
She was born in Massey and married her husband Léo in 1940, at St. Jean de Brébeuf Church in Sudbury. He passed away in 1997. Lucia used to volunteer at Sudbury Regional Hospital knitting thumb puppets for children who had blood work performed.
She was a homemaker, treasurer of the women's auxiliary at Pioneer Manor and sang in a choir. She enjoys playing cards.
When Léo was alive, Lucia spent most of her time with him at their Wahnapitae cottage, gardening and picking blueberries.
She has resided at Lasalle Residence for the past 12 years. The woman has two surviving daughters, Jeannine Clement and Paulette Tomassini. She also has three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
