Twisted Pines Music and Arts is offering a unique showcase of music-based movies with guest speakers and live band performances. Catch a rare Q&A with Garth Hudson of The Band, which played with Bob Dylan (recent winner of the 2008 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award) and see three movies which depict different times in his life.

Treat your mom on Mother's Day (May 11) to a special documentary about a Neil Diamond cover singer in Song Sung Blue and see the band which did the soundtrack, rising stars "The Great Lake Swimmers" which will be opening for "Feist" in Toronto the following night.

Experience the addictive foot-stomping music of the United Steel Workers of Montreal following the Canadian movie "All Hat" and meet the director and producer following the screening. Be in the audience on closing day, May 19, and be on the Maple Blues Revue CD as it will be a live recording session. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see some of Canada's finest musicians, more than thirty-seven.

The festival takes place May 9-19, in Penetanguishene, Midland, and Georgian Bay, at the North Simcoe Recreation Centre, the Inn at Bay Moorings, and the King's Wharf Theatre.
