The Art Gallery of Sudbury rental and sales program is being launched to promote practicing artists within the City of Greater Sudbury and region.
Selected works by local artists will be available for rent or purchase throughout 2008 and possibly into 2009.
Purchase prices are established by the artists. Rental rates begin at $15 per months for pieces with purchase prices of $500 or less.
For those works over $500, the monthly rental fee is three per cent of the purchase price. Artists receive 50 per cent of the costs related to art rental and are paid every three months. If the work is purchased, the gallery will receive 30 per  cent of the sale price as a commission.
