The parking lot at the GoodLife Fitness on Lasalle Boulevard was shaking with activity Saturday, as close to 50 women joined in the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s first annual Zumba for Heart.
Zumba is fuses Latin music with easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program.
Participants raised pledges for the event, which will go to helping to find answers on how to put a stop to heart disease and stroke.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s goal was to raise $1,000 through the event.
