A showcase performance at the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals Conference is an opportunity for artists to have their music heard by festival artistic directors, concert presenters, record labels and artist managers from across Canada and around the world.

It is a chance to connect with influential music industry members all in one place, and each year OCFF showcases directly result in major leaps forward in the careers of independent musicians, stated a news release.

Folk, roots, traditional, world, blues, francophone, Aboriginal, culturally diverse and other artists from different genres of music are encouraged to apply. Applications are welcome from anywhere in the world.

The deadline for applications to showcase at the OCFF Conference is May 9.  Application are available online at www.ocff.ca/awardsshowcasing.htm or through Sonicbids at www.sonicbids.com .

The 22nd annual OCFF Conference will be held Oct. 23 to 26 in Ottawa.

The OCFF is an influential Canadian network and organization devoted to the development and success of traditional, contemporary and multicultural folk and roots music, artists and festivals.
