TVO hot docs in January

(CNW) Manufactured Landscapes is one of the many programs on TVO's January 2008 schedule.

The multi-award-winning documentary featuring the work of Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky makes its world broadcast premiere Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 10 pm on the View From Here. Burtynsky has photographed the results of mining on Sudbury's landscape.

Also making a world broadcast premiere on TVO is Nina Davenport's Operation Filmmaker Jan.  9 at 10 pm. 

Davenport documents how the efforts of actor/director Liev Schreiber and his producers to help an Iraqi film student go horribly awry.

Also in January, Michael Palin returns with another globe-trotting adventure in the North American Premiere of  Palin's New Europe, beginning Jan. 4 at 7 pm.

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) stars as the son of Rudyard Kipling in My Boy Jack, making its North American premiere Jan. 20 at 9 pm.

Kim Cattrall also stars in this powerful drama about the sacrifices of war.
