Canadian songwriter and artist Jann Arden will perform at the Sudbury Arena Jan. 19, 2010. Tickets for the concert will go on sale Oct. 5 at 10 a.m., and are $55. They can be purchased at the Sudbury Arena box office, online at www.livenation.

Quebec Indie rock band Malajube performed to about 400 cheering francophones at Market Square on Sept. 28.

The Quebec-based indie rock band, Malajube, will make an appearance at Market Square Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. The band is being brought in by francophone arts organization, La Slague, to headline its fourth annual Froche 2009 event.

Susan Young, co-convenor for Quilts On The Rocks, will be bringing some of her quilts to the Quilts On The Rocks Quilt and Stitchery Show. The show happens on Friday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
