Festive family fun at the New Sudbury Library on Sunday

Not only is tomorrow's event free, especially with a donation to the foodbank, but the bus ride there will be as well

The New Sudbury Library is inviting families to join in the holiday spirit at a festive drop-in event on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The New Sudbury Library is inviting families to join in the holiday spirit at a festive drop-in event on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

A collaboration between the New Sudbury Ward 8 Community Action Network (CAN) and the New Sudbury West CAN, activities for all ages will run in collaboration with Our Children Our Future, Better Beginnings Better Futures, Science North, and Sudbury library programming - this event promises a delightful array of activities for the whole family.

In addition to the chance to meet and take pictures with Santa, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various activities, including writing letters to Santa, science demonstrations, creating festive community chain decoration and snacks. The highlight of the event is a chance to meet and take pictures with Santa. 

Adding to the atmosphere, you can enjoy live music performances by Philippe Mathieu and a spirited sing-along as well.

In the spirit of giving, attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food donations for the Sudbury Food Bank. Monetary donations are also accepted and can also be made online at www.Sudburyfoodbank.ca/donate. Donation receipts will be available.

And you can ride to the event for free! Attendees can travel to and from this event for no charge thanks to a partnership with the Greater Sudbury GOVA Transit Services. Riders can let their bus driver know that they are travelling to the New Sudbury Library for the “Festive Family” event for a free fare.
