Cambrian raffling off a Camaro in honour of its 50th birthday

College to unveil a new initiative in celebration of 50th anniversary

Cambrian College is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and they've got some big plans.

At least one of those plans was unveiled at noon today during a Facebook Live event held at Crosstown Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, GMC on Falconbridge Road.

It turns out the Cambrian College Foundation is launching a major fundraising initiative in support of student scholarships and bursaries for the college’s 50th, which will be celebrated throughout 2017 incidentally.

Today's announcement is, through a partnership with Crosstown Chev, Cambrian is raffling off a custom 50th anniversary edition Camaro SS convertible, valued at $64,500. 

Tickets are selling for $20, or three for $50, with a limit of 7,500 tickets printed. Tickets will be available at Crosstown Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC, Cambrian College Foundation and Total Nursing Care.

The draw for the car will take place Sept. 28, 2017 at 1 p.m.

On hand for the unveiling today was Sudbury car guy and automotive journalist Justin Pritchard. He led the “show and tell” and introducing the launch in a 10-minute Facebook Live broadcast on Cambrian’s Facebook page.
