The Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury is in search of lesser-known community trails for a local plant marker project.

“Do you know what's growing in your backyard? Do you have a favourite trail in your neighbourhood that more people should know about?” the group said in a news release.

The coalition is looking for folks to nominate neighbourhood trails for a special project, a plant identification walk which would use informal plant markers to ID native plant species in English, French and Anishinaabemowin.

“If you know of a trail that would seem like a good fit, don't hesitate to nominate it.”

You can send your nomination by email to [email protected]. Please include your name, contact info, and information about the trail, such as its location, a short description, and a map if possible. Photos are also welcome. Trails will be selected later this summer.
