The Public Service Alliance of Canada reached a tentative agreement with the Canada Revenue Agency Friday morning.

The union, which represents the Canada Revenue Agency's unionized employees, including those at the Sudbury Taxation Centre, said if the agreement were approved, it would give those employees a cumulative pay increase totalling 5.75 per cent, retroactive to 2012.

In a statement to union members the Public Service Alliance of Canada bargaining unit said the team unanimously recommends accepting the tentative agreement.

In July, Sudbury.com reported, some Canada Revenue Agency employees in Sudbury had not been paid for four months due to issues with the federal government's Phoenix payroll system.

Problems with the system impacted 80,000 federal employees. The federal government later said it hopes to resolve all issues with the system by October.
