It isn't exactly the first signs of spring, but rest of the week will bring some relief from the bone-chilling temperatures that Sudburians endured over the last seven days.
After lows dipped below -30 overnight Sunday and Monday, Tuesday's overnight low low of -22 seems relatively warm – even the windchill of -28 is 10 degrees warmer. We should see about two centimetres of snow today, with winds from the south at 20 km/h expected in the late in the afternoon. High -13.
The light snow will end after midnight then cloudy with winds from the south at 20 km/h. Low will be -19.
Wednesday will bring a 60 per cent chance of snow and a high of -15. Overnight low will be about -26, with the long-term forecast calling for a mostly sunny day Thursday with a high of -17.
The early weekend forecast is calling for daytime highs around -12, dipping below -20 at night.
