Greater Sudbury is still currently under a winter weather travel advisory.

Snow will continue to affect all of Northeastern Ontario early this morning, said the advisory, issued by Environment Canada around 5 a.m. Monday. Bands of heavier snow in strong southwesterly winds off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will reduce visibilities at times. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some locations.

Total snowfall amounts from last night and this morning may reach 10 to 15 cm in a few locales. The snow is expected to taper off later this morning from west to east. It is recommended to adjust travel plans accordingly.
