Lin Gibson elected Conservation Ontario vice-chair

Conservation Sudbury-Nickel District Conservation Authority (NDCA) chair Lin Gibson has been elected to the board of directors of Conservation Ontario (CO). Gibson will serve as one of two vice-chairs.
Conservation Sudbury-Nickel District Conservation Authority (NDCA) chair Lin Gibson has been elected to the board of directors of Conservation Ontario (CO).

Gibson will serve as one of two vice-chairs. The election took place at the annual CO meeting in Toronto.

“I am honoured to have been elected by the Council of Conservation Authority members to this prominent position within our provincial organization,” Gibson said. “I look forward to working with all my colleagues to advance the important work that we do in our watersheds. I believe I can bring to the table a sound voice for Northern Ontario along with a common passion shared by all CAs to protect our watersheds throughout the province.”

Conservation Ontario is the network of the 36 Conservation Authorities in Ontario, which deliver programs and services that protect and manage water and other natural resources in partnership with governments, landowners and other organizations.

Conservation Ontario supports the Conservation Authorities network and is responsible for a number of significant environmentally related priorities with direct association through government relations, research and information, education and training, and outreach education to communities.
