NHLers and docs hit the ice for NEO Kids

Huge turnout at Countryside Arena for fundraiser hockey game

The Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex was packed on Aug. 3 to watch NHLers past and present take the ice alongside some of Sudbury's medical professionals.

The NHL vs Docs fundraiser, held in support of NEO Kids Foundation, drew a huge crowd for an entertaining night of hockey and skills for a good cause.

Columbus Blue Jackets captain and NEO Kids supporter Nick Foligno captained one team, while Dr. Sean Murray captained the other.

During the game's opening ceremony, NEO Kids Foundation President Patricia Mills announced that an anonymous donor would be matching every dollar raised on the evening up to $75,000.
