Norvic Motel is now a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Wahnapitae community.
Norvic Motel, located at 1340 Hwy. 17 E., will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, moving supplies and in-store pick-up for boxes.
Normal business hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and Friday to Saturday. Reserve U-Haul products at this dealer location by phoning 249-279-0027 or visiting uhaul.com.
Norvic Motel owners Mike and Nancy Patel said in a news release they are proud to team with the industry leader in do-it-yourself moving and self-storage to better meet the demands of Ontario County.
"U-Haul and Norvic Motel are striving to benefit the environment through sustainability initiatives," said the news release. "Truck sharing is a core U-Haul sustainability business practice that allows individuals to access a fleet of trucks that is larger than what they could access on an individual basis."
Readers may remember the Norvic Motel from 2018 headlines when the owner was subjected to a viral online attack that prompted a police investigation into threatening calls after a social media post alleged staff asked firefighters to leave the motel.
The Patels reached out to Sudbury.com this week to share an additional bit of information. New this year, the D trail maintained by the Coniston Wahnapitae Driftbusters links up with the Norvic Motel, meaning sledders looking to stop for the night can take a snowmobile trail right to the Wahnapitae motel.
