Appeals of city council decisions on three major building projects are set to begin early next month in Sudbury.

The Ontario Municipal Board has set Nov. 6 as the date for a pre-hearing for two appeals, including an appeal by the Friends of Bennett Lake of the city’s approval of Dalron Ltd.’s plans to build 15 homes on Fairlane Drive, near the lake. Also proceeding Nov. 6 is Dalron’s appeal of the city’s decision not to allow it to build a 192-unit development near Howey Drive.

On Nov. 7, the OMB will hear an appeal from Lepinia Investments Inc., which wants to build a seven-story apartment building on Long Lake Road. Lepinia is expected to win that appeal, because the city has decided not to defend its rejection of the proposal.

All appeals will be held at Tom Davies Square, either in council chambers or one of the nearby meeting rooms. The meetings are open to the public.
