Residents invited to septic system information night

Greater Sudbury is hosting a septic system information night May 24 from 7- 9 p.m. in the Atlas Copco Theatre at Dynamic Earth.

The information session will feature Dr. Doug Joy, director of the Ontario Rural Wastewater Centre, who will speak about the pros and cons of new septic system technologies. Joy is also a faculty member of the University of Guelph’s School of Engineering, where his teaching and research focus on water resources engineering.

A second speaker will be an environmental health officer from the Sudbury and District Health Unit, who will address best practices and maintenance recommendations for septic systems.
