Health care, lifestyle and fitness will be the focus of Science North's Body Worlds Vital Speaker Series.
Speakers will include accredited doctors, awarded researchers, and an Olympic gold medallist, all of whom will explore the human body and the concept of vitality.
In its Canadian premiere at Science North, the Body Worlds Vital exhibition celebrates the amazing potential of the human body and features authentic human bodies in stages of health, distress, and disease, according to a news release from Science North.
If packaged with a visit to the Body Worlds Vital exhibition, visitors can tour the Special Exhibits Hall starting at 6 p.m.
Dr. Brian Goldman, of CBC Radio One, will take to the podium on May 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Vale Cavern.
Goldman shines a light on the culture of modern medicine as the host of CBC's White Coat, Black Art and lends his talents to numerous additional shows on CBC Radio One as the House Doctor. During his discussion, he will write a prescription for a reinvented health-care system that puts the focus on wellness and prevention — to keep patients out of the hospital in the first place.
Body Worlds Vital and Speaker Series combination tickets are $20 each for Science North members and $25 each for the general public. Speaker Series tickets only are $13 each for Science North members and $15 each for the general public.
