Traffic advisories for the week of Oct. 15

The City of Greater Sudbury advises drivers of various traffic issues and detours this week in the city. Broadway Street: Please be advised that Broadway will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Oct. 16 and Oct. 18.

Broadway Street: Please be advised that Broadway will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Oct. 16 and Oct. 18.

Suggested detours include:
- Brady St to Douglas St South bound use Cross St.
- Brady St. North bound use Douglas St. or Cross St.
- Riverside Dr. northbound use Douglas St. or John St. via Ramsey St. and Worthington St.
- Riverside Dr. southbound use Douglas St. or Ontario St.

Emergency vehicles will be allowed access to the area if necessary, but City Transit will need to avoid Broadway on both days.

Robinson Drive, Sudbury: Robinson between Stephen St. and Kelly Lake Rd. will be closed for four weeks starting Oct. 15th for watermain and sewer service, as well as curb and sidewalk replacement and asphalt service. The road will remain open to local traffic.

Suggested detours include:
- From Kelly Lake Road to Southview Dr. to Stephen Street to Robinson Drive
- From Robison Drive to Stephen Street to Southview Drive to Kelly Lake Road

Main St. and MR 15, Chelmsford: Motorists can expect a lane closure at the intersection of 282 Main Street and MR 15 in Chelmsford to upgrade the watermain. Work will start at 7 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by the end of November.

Residents in the Chelmsford area may experience low water pressure and discoloured water during construction. If this happens residents are asked to run the cold water tap closest to their water meter for several minutes until the water is clear.

In the event of prolonged discolouration or low water pressure, residents are asked to call 3-1-1.
