Repairs to a suspended water main over Highway 17 in Wahnapitae will result in minor traffic delays Dec. 18 and possibly into Dec. 19.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane, with alternating eastbound and westbound traffic, near the Ministry of Transportation bridge in Wahnapitae, starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, December 18. Work may continue into the night, if weather permits.
The water main repair may require an additional day to complete and traffic may again be reduced to one lane on Friday, December 19.
For safety reasons, the repair may be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date due to inclement weather conditions.
Residents of Wahnapitae may notice discoloured water or pressure fluctuations during the water main repair. Prolonged episodes of discoloured water or low pressure should be reported to the City of Greater Sudbury at 3-1-1.
