Science North has been chosen as a finalist for the Top Indoor Attraction in the 2017 Ontario’s Choice Awards.

The local science centre was selected in recognition of its dedication to excellence, innovation and the economic impact they’ve had in the City of Greater Sudbury and Northern Ontario.

This year marks the second year of the Ontario’s Choice Awards hosted by Attractions Ontario. The awards were created to recognize visitor favourite institutions and the general public selects the winners through their votes.

“We are up against some tough competition but we believe that as Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attraction, we can also become the Top Indoor Attraction,” said Amy Henson, Science North staff scientist. “Our hands-on experiences and Bluecoats are unlike any other attraction in Ontario.”

Science North is asking for the public’s support in voting. Voting is open until Oct. 5. There are eight categories; Science North is in the running to become Top Indoor Attraction. One vote is permitted per category per day. To cast a vote, click here.
